Viking Hand Disease

Dupuytren’s Contracture, also known as the Viking disease due to its prevalence in Scandinavian populations, manifests as an abnormal thickening of the hand tissues. This condition results in the affected fingers being rendered incapable of straightening and remaining in a permanently bent position.

Acupuncture, in conjunction with the ancient technique of moxibustion, has proven to be an invaluable resource in my journey towards health and wellness. Through my years of practice, I have observed that a common pattern often presents itself - the Liver Yin Deficiency Syndrome. This syndrome is characterized by a lack of the nourishing qualities of Liver Yin, affecting the outer regions of the body and the pathways of the meridians.

A number of treatments is usually needed depending on how long you have suffered from this trouble but even the most withered will respond to this treatment.

Come visit me at Kotan Acupuncture Clinic in Brunswick East for treatment.
